Until the beginning of the 19° century, the Cher River was a waterway very active. Local archives show a frequency around 5000 boats a year. Then this activity declined when the national railways company came. Today under different associations, the Cher is become navigable after restoration of existing valves on the river. Following this situation, Veretz decided to build 2 boats called “ Le Jean Bricaud “ and “ Le Milandre”.
